Philly Pho Coffee Cup

This series of coffee cups, called “Philly Pho”, are moulded from plastic Tupperware containers used for broth in takeaway Pho (a popular treat in Phillly!)

They are made from thin walled Ohio Terracotta, and have a generous hand-formed handle, designed to enhance the experience of the coffee we drink each morning. The red clay body is complemented by a food safe, durable and highly textured translucent mottle glaze, so they are resilient + dishwasher safe. 

The materials were sourced and the cups cast and fired in downtown Philly, supporting local businesses at each step. They’re also fired on a renewably-powered electric kiln, meaning that their carbon footprint is extremely low! 

Approx 8oz capacity. Fragile but machine washable - like fine crystal!
